Press Release Summary: New APX 2500 Applications Processor Delivers Seamless
Graphics and Media Acceleration for Mobile Devices through New OpenKODE Standard

Press Release Body: MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS 2008-BARCELONA, SPAIN-FEBRUARY 11, 2007-
The APX 2500, NVIDIA® Corporation's breakthrough applications processor, supports
the industry's first conformant full implementation of the new OpenKODET standard
from the KhronosT Group, also launching today at Mobile World Congress 2008 in
Barcelona. OpenKODE (www.khronos.org) is a set of open standard APIs designed to
enable the authoring and playback of rich media across a wide variety of devices and
is being delivered by NVIDIA on Microsoft's Windows Mobile platform..

OpenKODE seeks to reduce market fragmentation and enable the rapid development and
deployment of hardware-accelerated rich media applications and full 3D user
interfaces to mobile devices. As the industry's first solution to deliver the
framework needed to drive next-generation 3D user interfaces, the NVIDIA APX 2500
executes multiple applications simultaneously with each program, and the user
interface itself, taking full advantage of graphics and video acceleration to
provide sophisticated inter-application transitions and navigation.

"NVIDIA has played a key role in the development of the OpenKODE standard and now it
is leading its deployment into the industry," said Neil Trevett, president of the
Khronos Group and vice president of mobile content at NVIDIA. "Integrating a
complete OpenKODE media stack requires intimate control over all parts of the
silicon and software architecture and with the APX 2500 NVIDIA is uniquely
positioned to deliver a fully hardware-accelerated rich-media silicon and software
platform."

NVIDIA has extended OpenKODE to deliver a highly differentiated solution for OEMs
and a compelling platform for application and user interface developers. These
extensions include:
. Full integration of OpenGL ES 2.0 as well as OpenGL ES 1.1 into OpenKODE to
enable, full use of OpenGL ES 2.0's shader programmability;
. Integrated OpenMAX video playback within OpenKODE - enabling fully accelerated
video to be processed with the APX 2500 OpenGL ES 2.0 core for seamless video
processing in 3D applications and user interfaces.

NVIDIA is creating a software development kit (SDK) containing a re-usable
collection of source code to significantly accelerate the development of advanced 3D
user interfaces using the APX 2500 and OpenKODE. NVIDIA will make this SDK
available to its customer and partners in the coming months.
